Unity® AAC is Here: Research-Based Communication Comes to iOS

What is Unity®?
Unity® is a language system that uses multi-meaning icons arranged in a consistent organisational structure with symbol family trees.
Words have a unique motor pattern that never changes, allowing users to develop automatic recall and focus on communication rather than navigation.
The system supports language development – from first words to conversational communication.
Who Can Benefit from Unity®?
Designed for individuals of all ages, Unity supports a wide range of users, including those with apraxia, cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, Rett syndrome, and other communication challenges. It accommodates different access methods, such as:
- Touch
- Head tracking (integrated into the app)
- Eye tracking (using iOS Accessibility)
- Switch scanning (using iOS Accessibility or integrated into the app)
(Access methods may be dependent on iPad® or iPhone® hardware and software compatibility.)
